Facebook Now Let’s All Advertisers Run Ads In Stories

After months of anticipation, Facebook has finally announced that all advertisers can now run ads in stories!

For advertisers, this is great news. Not only does this mean that advertisers can now run ads in stories in the hope to generate more engagement and build greater connections between brands and consumers, but they can advertise their products or services in more creative ways.

Since Facebook launched its stories feature back in March 2017, Facebook has seen a significant increase in the number of people using the app in the hope to get ahead of other social media platforms such as Snapchat. In fact, so much so, that the number of people viewing Facebook Stories has doubled from 150 million to 300 million in just 4 months.

Now, Facebook supports the same objectives that can be used for Instagram Stories ads, including reach, brand awareness, video views, app installs, conversion, traffic and lead generation.

In light of the big reveal, Facebook stated that: “Advertising in stories has proven to drive valuable business outcomes. In the Ipsos survey, 62% of people said they became more interested in a brand or product after seeing it in a story. And brands testing Facebook Stories ads are already seeing results. iHeartRadio, Kettle Chips and KFC are among the advertisers who have seen brand lift from their Facebook Stories ad campaigns.”
